The Health Professionals Program of San Diego provides confidential sober monitoring for physicians and healthcare professionals. We offer structured alcohol and drug testing, professional oversight, and documentation when required by licensing boards, employers, or credentialing bodies. Whether you are self referred or meeting formal requirements, we provide clear expectations and ongoing accountability.

Who HPP Serves

Whether self-referred or participating to meet workplace, licensing, or return-to-work requirements, HPP provides confidential, structured support designed to promote accountability, clinical safety, and long-term professional stability.

HPP serves the following types of licensed health professionals:

  • MDs and DOs

  • Dentists

  • Pharmacists

  • Nurse Practitioners

  • Registered Nurses 

  • Licensed Practitioners of the Healing Arts, including:

  • Clinical Social Workers

  • Marriage and Family Therapists,

  • Professional Clinical Counselors

  • Other Licensed Professionals
